Web Server

In the world of computer networking, a web server is a software application that delivers static and dynamic content to clients via the World Wide Web. Essentially, it is a programme that enables users from around the world to access websites hosted on internet-connected servers. When a user enters a URL or clicks a link, their device communicates with the web server to retrieve the requested data, which may include text, images, audio, and video files. The server receives the request, retrieves and processes the data from its hard drive or RAM storage facility, formats it into HTML (or another markup format, if necessary), and sends it back to the client's browser via TCP/IP and HTTP.Web servers play a crucial role in managing online communications and e-commerce transactions, as well as ensuring website uptime and performance by optimising resource utilisation and adjusting capacity based on demand.
